*Expertly restored
*
The bodywork is flawless. Crisp panel lines, precise panel gaps, and a high-quality paint finish. Everything about it is right. The color radiates warmth and lends the car a refined, almost luxurious character. And then there is the interior. Rich brown leather of exceptional quality and that classic dashboard so emblematic of this generation of Porsche. It all looks exactly as it should. Be sure to browse the photos on our website for a closer impression.

What makes it even more special is that this car is not just a beauty to behold, it also drives beautifully. Mechanically, everything has been addressed with care and precision. Thanks to a thorough restoration, it feels like stepping back into the 1950s, but with the comfort and reliability of a modern build.

*Outstanding driving experience
*
The feeling behind the wheel is hard to describe. Light, responsive, and with that unmistakable sound of an air-cooled flat-four in the back. This example drives exactly as you would expect from a Porsche of this caliber. It comes with a full restoration report, complete with photos, as well as an official Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

*A bit of history
*
While Ferdinand Porsche had been active in the automotive world since the early 1930s, his name first appeared on a car in 1949. Unlike many brands that start small, Porsche entered the scene with what would become one of the most iconic sports cars of all time: the Porsche 356.

The first 356 units were built in collaboration with coachbuilder Reutter at Porsche’s original workshop in Stuttgart. By 1955, production had shifted to the Zuffenhausen factory. The 356 was constructed on a platform chassis with the distinctive rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Thanks to a torsion bar suspension and fully independent suspension setup, the car offered a surprisingly sporty driving experience—especially considering its roots in Volkswagen engineering.

With ongoing technical refinements, the 356 continued to improve year after year. What began with a modest 1.1-liter four-cylinder grew into versions featuring 1.3, 1.5, and ultimately 1.6-liter engines. In 1952, the split front windshield was replaced by a curved single-pane, and synchronized gearboxes were introduced, dramatically enhancing drivability. A few years later, Porsche released the 356B, distinguishable by subtle design updates such as higher-mounted bumpers, giving it a more contemporary look.
