The Nissan 300ZX is a legendary sportscar produced across two generations and remains one of the most celebrated models in Nissan's iconic Z-car lineage. As with all Z-cars, the 300ZX was marketed in Japan as the Fairlady Z. The first generation, known as the Z31, was produced from 1983-1989 and became the highest-volume Z-car ever built, cementing its place as a sales success for Nissan. Designed by Kazumasu Takagi and his development team, the Z31 offered significant improvements in aerodynamics and performance over its predecessor, the 280ZX.
