Born from the collaboration between John Cooper and the British Motor Corporation, the Cooper S transformed the humble Mini into a giant-killing motorsport icon, achieving success on rally stages and race circuits around the world. Today, genuine Cooper S examples are highly sought-after. Prior to the current vendor's four-year ownership, the car underwent a full nut and bolt restoration to an exceptional standard, including a complete engine rebuild by renowned Mini specialist Bill Richards. The engine was upgraded to 1293cc fast-road specification, producing in excess of 100bhp through twin SU carburettors, providing performance well beyond that of a standard Cooper S.

Remarkably, the Mini has covered less than 2,500 miles since completion of the restoration and continues to present beautifully today.
