This 230 Pagoda is a German first delivery. The vehicle has been in a collection since 2004 and has been lovingly cared for by its owner. According to the data card, the vehicle was delivered to its first owner on 17.04.1964.
It is technically and visually (matching colors) in a very original condition. Thus, the roadster presents itself even today in the color medium blue metallic (396) with leather beige. A few years ago, the Roadster was extensively restored and now shows a beautiful patina again. Thanks to careful maintenance, the paint is in good condition. The technology has been continuously maintained since the restoration and works as it should.
Among other things, the Pagoda is equipped with power steering and an automatic transmission with a middle gear shift. This makes it easy to maneuver and invites you to enjoy the beautiful weather during a quiet drive.

History of the series
The successor to the 190 SL series was unveiled in March 1963, fulfilling the desire of many customers for more power and comfort. Thanks to the smooth running of the large in-line six-cylinder engine, the Pagoda also offered exceptionally good cruising qualities, making it a pleasant companion on rallies and outings. The automatic transmission literally invites you to open the top and enjoy the scenery.
The safety measures, which were novel and trend-setting for the time, ensured a relaxed feeling. These included a defused interior without corners and edges, seat belts as special equipment and defined crumple zones.
The name "Pagoda" was given to it by the vernacular, as the concave roof resembles temples from the Far East - in other words, pagodas. Yet the shape was originally intended quite rationally as an improvement in space.
The vehicle is located in our showroom in Stuttgart-Plieningen, close to the airport/trade fair. A test drive and an inspection on the car lift are possible by arrangement.
The sale takes place on request with new inspection, service and TÜV. We also offer a wide range of accessories for your new dream car. If required, we can also deliver the vehicle to you in a closed trailer.
