The type designation 300 was magical at Daimler-Benz. It symbolized a top model of international appeal. With the Mercedes 300 SE, Daimler-Benz showcased what was possible. Under the bonnet there is a maximum of components which showcased the technological skill of the manufacturer. The car appealed to a target group that valued the highest level of comfort with optimal usability and high performance.
Our 300 SE with long wheelbase is from the last series of its type, only 1,546 copies were produced. It has an international history: its first owner, the police chief of Mulhouse in France, registered it on April 29th 1965. Since 1970, the classic car has been Germany and stood in a garage ever since 1980. The current owner acquired the classic in 2003 and has restored it in every detail. The work is properly documented and there is an evaluation from 2008. Since then, the car is registered and was hardly ever used. In the rare version with manual transmission this Mercedes is a collector vehicle that offers a great driving experience.
