Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this rare low mileage Jaguar XJ-S 4.0 Convertible, which is presented in its original desirable colour scheme.

The XJ-S was introduced in September 1975. The design and development, directed by William Heynes, Chief Engineer and Technical Director had begun in the late 1960s by the code name of project XJ27, with an initial shape penned by Malcolm Sayer, but after his death in 1970 it was completed by the in-house Jaguar design team, headed by Doug Thorpe. Post-1991 XJ-Ss are particularly sought after, not least because they use galvanised steel body parts.

So well-executed were the XJ-S’s various updates, it managed to remain in production for an impressive 21 years, beating the E-Type’s sales record by attracting more than 115,000 customers worldwide.

The XJ-S is now a highly respected grand-touring classic, with the best examples of the two-seat full convertibles seeing an upsurge in values over the last few years

Supplied new by Guy Salmon Jaguar Ltd in April 1995 our XJ-S 4.0 has its original leather book pack, history file with service invoices and its spare key. It has been pampered all its life and is sold with a comprehensive 12-month warranty.
