The Ford GPW War Jeep is one of the most iconic military vehicles of the Second World War. The GPW was built by Ford from 1942 onwards and was the direct sister model of the Willys MB. Together, these two models formed the standardised American wartime jeep, developed from designs by Bantam, Willys and Ford.

The jeep was designed as a light and robust 4x4 for duties including reconnaissance, transport and liaison work. The Ford GPW can be recognised, among other details, by its inverted U-shaped front chassis crossmember. The characteristic small Ford ‘F’ markings are also present on various parts of this example.

This example was first registered on 14 March 1942 and is finished in Army Green. The 2,195 cc engine is paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. The indicated mileage is 100,181 km and the chassis number is GPW30011.

This GPW underwent a good professional restoration. The body was professionally repainted and the underside, engine bay, engine and interior also present very well following restoration. The soft top remains in good original condition.

Technically, this War Jeep presents well. The vehicle has been well maintained and the clutch, gearbox, brakes, handbrake, lighting, axles and suspension all function properly.

Our Oldtimerfarm inspection team has prepared an expert report for this vehicle.
