Description
Dodge Lancer 770 from 1961 in Silver Metallic with a blue leather interior.
History: The Dodge Lancer name appeared in three different eras, each offering a new variant within the Dodge lineup. First introduced in the 1950s, the Lancer began as a stylish hardtop model in the full-size class and was produced until 1959. In the early 1960s, the name returned as a compact model on the Chrysler A platform before being replaced by the Dodge Dart. Finally, the Lancer reappeared in the mid-1980s as a front-wheel-drive midsize sedan on the Chrysler H platform and was replaced by the Dodge Spirit starting in 1988.
The original owner of our Dodge Lancer chose the "big" 3.7-liter 6-cylinder engine with the Torqueflite automatic transmission. The car is one of the few examples manufactured in Schinzach, Switzerland, and features power steering and a full-length bench seat with an armrest in the front. Vehicles manufactured in Switzerland are considered to be particularly well-made. Even today, the sedan is in good technical and visual condition; the engine and transmission are largely oil-free and show no technical defects. Smooth running, responsiveness, and power delivery are good. Visually, the components are in good condition—considering the vehicle's age—with normal signs of wear. The body is in good condition; the paintwork shows only minor signs of wear and has a nice shine. The trim elements are complete and also in good condition.
The 6-cylinder inline engine starts without hesitation and settles into a stable idle. After pressing the "D" (Drive) selector button, the car moves smoothly. With a little pressure on the accelerator, the sedan accelerates surprisingly briskly. The large 3.7-liter engine has little trouble propelling the Lancer forward thanks to its high torque.
Driving this Dodge is a dream! The steering is smooth and free of play, the 6-cylinder engine impresses with its bassy sound, and the Torqueflite automatic transmission offers perfect shifts. Cruising across the country and downtown is a joy.
We'll deliver the Dodge Lancer ready to go, complete with a valid MOT (03/26), a vehicle inspection certificate, and a valuation report for your insurance. We're happy to make you a competitive quote for transport to your home.
