Between 1948 and 1952, only about 600 examples of the DB 18 Special Sports were built. While most bodies were crafted by Mulliners, the Barker-bodied versions are far rarer and highly sought after. Barker, established in the 18th century, was renowned for supplying the British aristocracy and even the Royal Family with luxury carriages and automobiles. The presence of the original Barker coachbuilder’s plate in this car confirms its exclusive provenance.

Powered by a 2.5-litre six-cylinder engine (approx. 85 hp) paired with Daimler’s famous fluid flywheel and pre-select gearbox, the DB 18 Special Sports offered unrivalled smoothness and refinement in its era.
