The 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a timeless classic that makes car enthusiasts' hearts beat faster. Chevrolet introduced the Corvette in 1953 as a two-seater sports car, a bold move for a brand that until then was primarily known for family cars. With its striking fiberglass body designed by Harley Earl and reliable GM engineering, the Corvette made its mark. The rest is history. Rightfully one of the greatest American icons.

In 1963, the completely redesigned Sting Ray was introduced, complete with a new ladder-type chassis. For the first time, a Gran Turismo coupe was also available. The development of the Corvette progressed slowly but steadily, marked by annual facelifts and some significant technical improvements. In 1965, the long-awaited disc brakes all around arrived, a major advancement for driving characteristics. The standard 327ci (5.4-liter) V8 engine with 250 hp was joined by the optional 396ci (6.5-liter) Big Block, which was replaced in 1966 by the even more powerful 427ci engine.

This particular 1964 example, previously restored in Daytona Blue with a black interior, is a truly stunning Corvette ready for many enjoyable drives. This Chevrolet features a four-speed manual transmission and powerful brakes. The Corvette has undergone restoration and overhaul work in the past, with attention to original factory details, emphasizing the authenticity of this Corvette. The car has been driven for over ten years in Norway and has been carefully and attentively maintained there. Extensive documentation is available for all maintenance work since 2012, with a thick stack of invoices, demonstrating the care and attention given to this car.

When stepping into this Corvette, it is noticeable how neat the bodywork is and how lovely the paint looks. Details such as the emblems and chrome wheels are in excellent condition and contribute to the car's beautiful appearance. The underside of the car is also in very neat condition, confirming a good maintenance history. The soft top and windows are in excellent condition, contributing to the overall attractive appearance.

The interior of this Corvette is also in great condition. The upholstery is in very good condition, with beautiful carpets and an original Delco radio. The driving pleasure is unparalleled: the car shifts smoothly, the clutch feels good, and the brakes work perfectly. The steering is tight and precise, providing a sporty driving experience.

Thanks to the extensive maintenance carried out in recent years, the new owner will benefit from a car in good and beautiful condition. This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a stunning classic ready for many carefree kilometers and unforgettable rides. Are you interested in this special Corvette? Contact us today.
