    Rally prepared BMW 2002

Ever dreamt of driving famous historic rallyes such as the Winter Trial, Coppa d'Europe, SLS Classic, Boucles de Spa or the Classic 500 Challenge in a great car and with a great friend. This car has already done so and is up to the task!

This BMW 2002 has been built by CP Classic Motors in Genk, Belgium. The idea was to build perfectly prepared for vintage Car rallyes. And what better car to start with than a BMW 2002? Great looks, great suspension, durable engine and great seating/visibility. The car was upgraded from there on.

The engine is a rebuilt 2,0 Liter M10 engine with Dual Weber DCOE 40mm carbs with an Alpina A2 intake plenum. A hotter cam, 123 Ignition, equal length headers. Furthermore an electric fuelpump and oil cooler. The engine is protected by a stainless skidplate. The engine runs nice and makes good power. Behind that is a 5-speed Dogleg (1st gear below) transmission that was rebuilt. This sends power to a rebuild limited slip differential.

The 2002 body was widened with 'Schweinebacken'  / 'Pig Cheeks' wings that Alpina used. This was done to house the 8x13 inch Minilite wheels with 205/60/13 tires. Braking is upraded as well: Volvo 240 Calipers with E21 323i Rotors and EBC brakepads.

Suspension is handled by Bilstein struts with uprated springs in the front + rear. A strut brace in the front + rear combined with a rear mounted battery with kill-switch. Sway-bars in the front + rear.

For safety the car was fitted with a FIA-homologated OMP rollcage and FIA-homologated OMP racing seats with OMP 5-point seatbelts. For vintage rally sport it has a calibrated Brantz Rally Tripmeter. For communication between driver and co-driver there is a set of Stilo headsets. There are map-reading lights, extra 12V sockets, GPS and time clocks. The front of the car has been fitted with 4 PIAA Rally lights + side LED lights. The rear of the car was upgraded with a bright reverse-light for backing up into dark roads.

Rally-Spec BMW 2002 is now available and ready to enter in several History Rallies.
