Description
After 9 years of the first post-war Bentley, the MK VI / R-Type, the illustrious clientele curiously awaited the successor. In 1955, the Bentley S 1 was introduced. Conservative, with a separate chassis but with a stylish line by John Blatchley. The S 1 met the taste of clientele exactly. Noteworthy: more Bentley S 1s were sold than the RR Silver Cloud I, the sister model. In 1959 the Bentley S 2 was introduced with almost the same body, but the all-new V8 engine with significantly more power. The completion of the series was the S 3 from 1962 to 1965, easily recognizable by the twin headlights.
Our Bentley S 3 had only one owner in the UK and has been registered in Germany since 1987. It was thoroughly revised and also painted in the original color combination back then. In 2017, it received a major service including brakes, suspension and ventilation were restored. The size of the car is not noticeable thanks to the power steering and the excellent performance of the V8 engine. This Bentley moves really well and provides plenty of driving pleasure.
