Description

The most important things first:

  1. the vehicle has been in my possession for over 12 years

  2. before that it was owned by the long-time president of the Austin Healey Club NL for 25-30 years

  3. it is a BN1 Le Mans built in 1955 - therefore the vehicle is Mille Miglia eligible

  4. the vehicle has great, very sporty details (additional headlights, the filler neck moved to the outside, headlight grille, Tripmaster, rally stopwatches, etc.)

  5. technically, the vehicle is in top condition; the entire electrical system was renewed a few years ago, the heating system was repaired, a high-performance aluminium radiator was installed and a new fuel pump was fitted;

  6. visually, however, the vehicle has patina and signs of use and is not in showroom condition; the very authentic character of this vehicle was always important to me; I would therefore rate the visual condition as 2/2-.

...and a few more notes / details:

  • the car is NOT at ‘The Gallery’ - I only bought it there at the time and I am using the photos from my purchase;

  • the car is technically good and has been regularly serviced;

(but unfortunately moved far too little by me - for this reason it is now also for sale)

  • In 2019, the entire electrics, wiring and cable harnes were renewed for approx. 4,500 euros;

  • the conversion to disc brakes on the rear axle was also carried out (original drum brakes are of course also present);

  • The drum brakes were retained on the front axle;

  • In addition, the existing heating system was completely overhauled (very rare special equipment)

  • an aluminum high-performance cooler was installed a few years ago (the original one is also still there - but would have to be revised)

  • with this vehicle it was important to me to drive a highly authentic vehicle with patina - if you are looking for a vehicle in showroom condition - this vehicle is not suitable for you; Instead, good, well-maintained and reliable technical condition was always very important to me - which is why repairs and interventions were always carried out specifically;

  • There are extensive documents for the vehicle - about 3 folders full

  • This model of the original Healey is generally also eligible to participate/start in the Mille Miglia; This was also a major reason why I didn't want to sell this vehicle for a long time - even though I rarely see it on the road;

and finally...:

I neither have to sell this vehicle - nor do I actually want it in my heart - but unfortunately I don't get around to driving it regularly;

Therefore, I ask you to refrain from asking questions about the pain threshold or anything similar - this saves us all unnecessary effort and just wastes time on both sides.

Of course, I am happy to receive any questions about the vehicle or serious offers to purchase it.
