Description

Some cars transcend their category. This December 1992 Alfa Romeo Spider Type 4 is a compelling example. With only 51.204 kilometers on the clock, finished in the rare Vinaccia Red Metallic and paired with a chic cream interior, this is a Spider of a quality rarely found these days.

The car was delivered new in Germany and remained there its entire life with only two owners, who cherished the Spider with exceptional care. It only came to the Netherlands last year. Not out of dissatisfaction with the car, but simply because the previous owner's posture prevented him from sitting comfortably in it, we were able to acquire it. Which, of course, could become a rare moment of happiness for the next enthusiast.

What immediately stands out is the impressive originality. The paintwork is deeply glossy and completely undamaged, and the interior is in a condition that hardly seems compatible with the car's age. Everything exudes authenticity and quality. Even the unused spare wheel with its original Pirelli tire is still present—a detail that speaks volumes about how carefully this Spider has been preserved. The underside is also worth checking: not a speck of rust, just a thin protective layer of wax, new Bilstein shock absorbers, new springs and exhaust, etc. Everything is truly belle-simo.

The history is also complete: original maintenance and instruction booklets, invoices, and even the original brochures are included. This isn't a "refurbished" classic, but an honestly preserved example. You may know that we're always looking for cars that meet these criteria, but honestly, that's becoming increasingly difficult. That's why we're truly thrilled with this wonderful find.

Thanks to its proven Type 4 technology, Bosch fuel injection, and electronic ignition, this Spider is not only a collector's item but also a car you can drive with confidence. Comfort, power steering, and practicality make it suitable for long tours and vacations—just as Alfa Romeo intended.

The market for sought-after Alfa Romeo classics has been showing steady and healthy value growth for years. Examples with this mileage, color scheme, condition, and documentation are becoming increasingly rare. This makes this Spider not only a source of driving pleasure and emotion, but also a very attractive investment. Naturally, you buy this last old-school Spider with your heart—for its lines, its color, and its Italian character—but it's comforting to know that your mind fully agrees.
