During the Second World War, car production at Alfa Romeo came to a virtual standstill. From 1947 onwards, slightly modified pre-war models were brought back into production in small numbers. It was not until 1950 that a truly new car was unveiled: the 1900 Berlina. This marked the beginning of the mass production era at Alfa Romeo. In 1954, the Giulietta was introduced. This was the breakthrough, as it captured the hearts of all Alfa Romeo fans. This model range was supplemented in 1960 by Bertone’s Sprint Speciale (SS) Coupé. From 1963 to 1966, the coupé was called the Giulia Sprint Speciale, now fitted with a larger engine (1,570 cc, 82 kW/112 hp).

Our Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale Coupé has been in the same ownership for 35 years and is registered in Germany. This sporty classic car is in good and very sound condition. Upon sale, the classic will undergo a major service and be fitted with new tyres. This rare Bertone coupé – only 1,252 were built – is a collector’s item, but it can also be driven without any fuss.
