Beschreibung

Finished in Salisbury Blue with Magnolia hide piped in Navy Blue, appointed with Slate Blue carpeting and fitted with a Navy Blue Mohair type fabric power operated roof. Equipped with automatic transmission and the fabled V8 Vantage ‘X-pack’, 410 bhp engine.

Fitted with a PoW Volante specification centre console, switch panel and locking centre armrest, this exceptionally well cared for example of the rare Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante, left the production line in June 1989 before being delivered to Monaco, from where it was purchased new and immediately returned to the factory for a complete factory conversion to Right Hand Drive, prior to delivery to its first owner, a UK based property developer and car collector.

Known to us for the last 6 years after the last owners acquisition, this attractive example has received a comprehensive programme of substantial restorative works, including to the chassis, vehicle running gear, a complete retrim in finest Connolly hides, new Wilton carpeting and a new tailored hood in Boyriven mohair type woven fabric. The varied works being carried out in our Heritage workshops, for the discerning and private collector car owner.

Supplied when new to Mr Ash Tanden, a well-known London based collector in period, this car spent its early years in Mr Tanden’s expansive car collection, before being sold in 1991 along with a number of other collector cars. Purchased by the Sytner Motor Group, the car was subsequently supplied via themselves, on two occasions, including to another well-known collector, Mr Michael Oliver of Cheshire. Maintained by Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell and local Aston Martin agents Donaldson & Evans Ltd of Hale, Cheshire, for Mr Oliver, before a long-term owner subsequently purchased the car in 1996, when the car had covered just over 3,000 miles.

Purchased by the last owner in 2020 with 40,000 miles covered by that long term, 1996-2020 owner, the extensive works, completed over the last 6 years by ourselves, to manufacturer standards, with all works recorded within the comprehensive history file of this car.

Now for sale due to changing circumstances, we are delighted to offer this excellent and highly attractive example of the V8 Vantage Volante, complete with a highly populated history file containing MoT certificates from 1995 onward, service and maintenance invoices, former V5 documents, an Aston Martin Heritage Trust certificate, original owners handbooks, vehicle jack and tool roll, car cover and battery conditioner.

Produced only for just over 3 years the Vantage Volante laid claim in period, to be the world’s most powerful production convertible. Just 192 examples were built for all markets, before production ceased, in the year this car was built.

Offered inclusive of full vehicle preparation a multi-point check sheet, 12 months MoT and warranty, this highly attractive V8 Vantage Volante is available now for viewing and demonstration, at our Hertfordshire showrooms.
