This wonderfully presented XJ220, chassis number 220686, completed assembly in late September 1993 finished as it is today in Spa Silver over Smoke Grey trim, according to a trace certificate from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Reportedly imported and federalized by an enthusiast residing in Connecticut, the XJ220 would pass through several prominent car collections before being submitted to Jaguar Heritage in Fall 2016 for comprehensive servicing. Per invoices on file, Jaguar Heritage performed over $105,000 in work, including a full rebuild of the engine, replacement of the fuel bladder, pumps, and lines, respray in its factory Spa Silver, and interior retrim in Smoke Grey, among many other refurbishments.

After being acquired by the consignor in 2021, the car was submitted for service by Jaguar Minneapolis of Minnesota. Using parts purchased directly from the XJ220 gurus at Don Law Racing, Jaguar Minneapolis performed over $65,000 in service work, including new spark plugs, a starter motor, battery, fuel injectors, Don Law Racing’s 24-month service kit, which entailed changing the engine oil, oil filter and transmission fluid. At this time the fuel cell was also serviced, with the foam inside being replaced.

As with the other cars in the consignor’s collection, this XJ220 has been carefully stored, fastidiously maintained, and run monthly inside their first-class, climate-controlled facility. It is further accompanied by a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, service invoices, and Jaguar XJ220 workshop manual.

Offering the ultimate in 1990s performance and developed by some of the era’s finest racing engineers, the XJ220 was the fastest production car in its day, besting even the Ferrari F40. This example, showing less than 7,000 kilometers (4,950 miles) at cataloguing time and benefitting from more than $170,000 in significant service work, certainly ranks among the most sorted examples available, ideal for any number of supercar exhibitions or as the cornerstone to a worldclass private collection.
