1964 | Citroën 2 CV
Description
The 2 CV is regognised by basically everyone and just the thought of it instantly brings a smile on most people's faces. You are immediately aware that it is a Citroën, and if you have tried to drive one of the more than 9 million variants of it, you will never forget it. Umbrella gears and the world's softest suspension are some of the elements that make the experience completely special.
Our 2CV is imported from France, and is almost taken out of a movie. You can almost see Peter Sellers driving it as Inspector Clouseau, and the car offers raw charm and huge entertainment value for every kilometer you drive in it – not to mention attention.
With 424 ccm and a staggering 18 HP, you can be absolutely sure that you won't be first in any race and that's fine. With a top speed of 95 km/h you won't get a speeding ticket either, but you'll probably get there, because when the 2cv is presented in 1948, the concept was clear: It had to be a cheap, simple and reliable car, so ordinary French people could also get to drive a car instead of a horse-drawn carriage! That's why there's front-wheel drive, the 4-cylinder boxer engine is air-cooled and you get air conditioning by tilting up the side window. There is no radio, no tachometer and no fuel gauge. On the other hand, what is actually there works flawlessly and never breaks! You will love this 2CV like Inspector Clouseau and James Bond.
We offer shipping within the EU, and our in-house workshop has inspected all our cars before they are put up for sale. A technical report can be shown upon request. The car can be viewed by physical or digital appointment in our showroom. Do not hesitate to request a video or the digitized historical file which we will be happy to share.
You can contact us by email or by telephone for any requests.
