Schijfremmen rondom, porsche 17" cup wielen, porsche 914 stoelen, opnieuw bekleed bij de bekende Newburry bekleder, 4 punts gordels, compleet nieuwe bedrading, nu aangelegd zoals het hoort, met GPS snelheidsmeter, instelbaar shiftlight, line-lock om alleen de voorremmen vast te zetten om burnout te doen (knop op versnellingspook) en alles is aangelegd in de auto met de beste materialen. Body is ongelast en keihard, helemaal in de twee componentenepoxy gezet.
Wij hebben de auto op Nederlands kenteken gezet, historische blauwe platen komen er op. Natuurlijk hebben we uitgebreid gereden met de auto. Motor had alleen in de garage gelopen toen we 'm kochten dus we hebben 'm eerst ingereden en daarna de nodige testkilometers gemaakt, met veel plezier. Wat gaat dat snel, wat een sensatie, wat een geweld. En toch is de auto verrassend comfortabel als je de verlaagde vooras in ogenschouw neemt. Door de kwaliteitsonderdelen voelt het allemaal heel goed aan.

This Karmann Ghia is very special. The builder has pulled everything to the limit, used the most expensive brand parts and spared no expense. A total of 60,000 euros spent on the car. A small summary: Porsche 2.2 liter engine with 48 Weber IDA carburetors and SMD ignition, about 180 hp, Rancho gearbox with shift lock. Disc brakes all round, Porsche 17" cup wheels, Porsche 914 seats, reupholstered with the well-known Newburry upholstery, 4 point seat belts, completely new wiring, now installed as it should, with GPS speedometer, adjustable shift light, line-lock to only hold the front brakes to do burnout (button on gear lever) and everything is built in the car with the best materials.Body is unwelded and rock hard, completely put in the two component epoxy.
We have put the car on a Dutch license plate, historic blue plates are on it. Of course we drove extensively with the car. The bike had only been in the garage when we bought it, so we broke it in first and then drove the necessary test kilometers, with great pleasure. How fast that happens, what a sensation, what violence. And yet the car is surprisingly comfortable when you consider the lowered front axle. The quality parts make it all feel very good.
