The Triumph TR6 is one of those quintessential classic sports cars. Long hood, short rear end, two seats, and a six-cylinder engine up front. The formula is simple, and that is precisely why it works so well.
The TR6 arrived in 1969 as the successor to the TR5 and featured an entirely new exterior design. Underneath, however, Triumph stayed close to the familiar formula: a separate chassis, independent suspension, a manual transmission, and, of course, the well-known 2.5-liter six-cylinder engine.

This TR6 was fully restored and mechanically rebuilt. The body and chassis were completely separated, after which virtually everything was addressed, restored, rebuilt, and ultimately brought back together. This was no cosmetic refresh with a fresh coat of paint, but a restoration in which the car was genuinely rebuilt from the ground up. And the result speaks for itself.
The Magenta paintwork is in exceptionally beautiful condition and gives the TR6 exactly the kind of presence that suits a British roadster from the 1970s. A little daring, a little extravagant, and above all completely unconcerned with whether everyone approves of it. We happen to love it, although you may have gathered that by now.
The black interior provides a wonderful contrast. The seats, upholstery, instruments, and classic dashboard are all exceptionally well presented. The chrome trim around the car is also in very good condition, while the chrome wire wheels complete the picture perfectly. And we have not even talked about the driving experience yet.
Start the six-cylinder engine and the story gets even better. The engine delivers plenty of torque, responds eagerly, and perfectly complements the car’s light and direct character. The steering feels surprisingly sharp, and with the top down, you find yourself exactly where a TR6 is happiest: right out in the open air. The stainless-steel exhaust certainly adds to the experience. Not excessively loud, but present in exactly the right way.
The TR6 was never intended to be the most refined sports car in the world. That is precisely where much of its charm lies. It feels mechanical, direct, and lively. You do not drive it with your hands alone, but also, to some extent, with your ears and your mood.
