This Mercedes 280 SE was delivered on May 9 of 1968 and one day later to its first owner, Dr. Kayser from Engelskirchen registered, he remained loyal to this car to the end. We bought it 11 years ago from his estate and painstakingly restored it completely and extensively to the highest standard. It is first-hand, has verifiably run 97,470 km, is accident-free and has always been serviced by Mercedes branches. Due to the long service life, the initial inspection turned into an extensive restoration. It still has its original interior, its original carpet, its original wood, its original chrome and partly its original paintwork. All logbooks, keys, the original tool kit and the original spare wheel are available. The appearance resembles that of a year-old car. There is evidence that 125,000.00 were invested in the restoration. All units were overhauled, the rear axle was given a longer 3.69 gear ratio, so that long motorway journeys at a relaxed speed are now possible. The vehicle cannot be compared with other Mercedes W108s available on the market, it is an extraordinary vehicle with as good as new technology and body without any need for work. It drives like a new car. This beautiful Mercedes will receive a professional final cleaning and approval with H license plate soon.
