The Jaguar XKR Convertible is a striking combination of British luxury, performance, and timeless design. Introduced as the high-performance version of Jaguar's XK8, the XKR was powered by a supercharged 4.0-litre V8 producing 370hp and 387 lb-ft of torque. This potent engine was paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-60mph in approximately 5.2 seconds and making it one of the fastest Jaguars of its era.

Subtle performance enhancements, including larger alloy wheels, a mesh grille and rear spoiler, helped distinguish the XKR from the standard XK8. With the roof lowered, the car provides an open-air driving experience that complements its grand touring character perfectly. As expected from such a premium marque, the interior features ample leather and polished wood, while comfort and luxury were key priorities, with equipment including power-adjustable seats and climate control.

Originally registered on 14th May 1998, this Jaguar was purchased by the vendor in 2019 as a fun car for high days and holidays. During the vendor's stewardship, significant investment has been made in the car, with the catalytic converters, steering rack and pinion, and radiator replaced, together with some suspension work. The leather seats and centre console have also been re-trimmed, while work has been carried out on the air conditioning and some welding undertaken to the chassis. Much of this work was carried out by Swallows Jaguar in Axminster. On its most recent visit, the convertible roof mechanism was serviced, while the roof itself was replaced some years ago. Prior to the vendor purchasing this delightful XKR, we understand that the timing chains and tensioners had been replaced.

Finished in the delightful colour combination of Amaranth Purple with a Cream interior, this Jaguar XKR is supplied with a V5 registration document, a history file and a current MoT test certificate valid until 11th May 2027. Today, the Jaguar XKR Convertible is appreciated by enthusiasts for its combination of impressive supercharged performance, classic styling and luxurious comfort.
