The Jaguar XJS was introduced in 1975 as the successor to the legendary E-Type and became one of the most recognisable British grand tourers. While the E-Type was primarily known for its sporting character, Jaguar designed the XJS to combine performance, luxury and refined driving comfort. The fully open XJS Convertible was introduced in 1988, replacing the earlier XJ-SC with its partially open roof construction.
