The 2.3-litre M20B23 engine was professionally rebuilt in January 2025, when the non-original instrument cluster showed approximately 10,000 km. The instrument cluster was already fitted before the current ownership and showed approximately 2,500 km when the car was acquired. No reliable record of the vehicle’s total lifetime mileage was supplied, so the true total mileage is unknown.
Since the engine rebuild, the car has covered approximately 12,000 km in regular and long-distance use and has proved fully reliable.
The car has benefited from extensive documented investment, including a €7,260 mechanical rebuild and refurbishment programme, together with €5,200 invested in a pair of brand-new RECARO Classic LX ergonomic seats with adjustable lumbar support.
Further improvements include Bilstein dampers, new original BMW springs, restored original BMW alloy wheels, four Hankook tyres, an Alpine UTE-200BT head unit and two JBL Stage 161F rear speakers.

The bodywork is in excellent condition, with no visible rust, and the metallic grey paint presents very well.
The black interior is clean and well preserved. The dashboard and instrument panel are in particularly good condition.
The car runs and drives beautifully and requires no known immediate work beyond normal routine maintenance.
It has always been garage-kept but is regularly driven and enjoyed. It is not a static showpiece: the approximately 12,000 km completed since the engine rebuild demonstrate that the car is dependable, usable and ready for long-distance driving.
