One of my absolute favorites, one of Marcello Gandini’s most beautiful sculptures:
An Alfa Romeo Montreal in a very attractive color for this car, although it was never included in the Montreal’s color palette: grigio nube.
This color was only introduced by Alfa in the 1980s, which ties in with the history of this Montreal:
The Montreal was delivered to its first owner here in Germany on 4 May 1972.
As early as 1982, the car changed hands to its second and last registered owner, who had the car extensively restored in 1983 and completely repainted in the becoming color grgio nube. (The cost was just under 15,000 Deutsche Mark, which was a great deal of money at the time.) The second owner kept the car until 2010 and always had it given the necessary maintenance. Many invoices documenting this are available.
The current owner has never registered the Montreal in his name and has driven it moderately but regularly with temporary registration plates. In 2024, a very comprehensive technical service was carried out at AMS, including an overhaul of the SPICA fuel-injection pump.

The engine starts at the first turn of the key, whether cold or warm; the engine demonstrates its qualities throughout the entire rev range, the gearbox shifts perfectly both up and down, the suspension and brakes perform in typical Montreal fashion, one quickly gets used to the car and enjoys every mile.
This is the perfect companion for enthusiasts of fine engine technology and sophisticated automotive design.
