The Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider Veloce. This is one of those classic Alfas in which everything seems to come together perfectly: the elegant Pininfarina bodywork, the lively Twin Cam engine, the five-speed manual transmission, and, of course, the open-air driving experience. Over the years, they have developed a slight yellowing, and that is precisely what gives the interior so much character. These are the small traces of age you find in a carefully preserved classic. They remind you that this Alfa was not built yesterday and give the cabin a wonderfully authentic appearance.
The relative rarity of this version makes it especially interesting as well. Production of this particular version is quoted at 1,091 examples, meaning you will encounter it considerably less often than many other classic Alfa Romeo models. And for an extra touch of glamour: Steve McQueen also bought a Giulia Spider in period. Naturally, that says nothing about this specific example, but it does give a nice sense of the company this elegant Italian sports car kept at the time.
