1959 | Jaguar Mk II 3.8

This beautiful Jaguar Mk. II was built 4th November 1959 and registered to a Mr. E. H. Goodenough on 3rd December of the same year through Henlys in London. Finished in Cornish Grey  with Red Leather interior, this vehicle comes with the all-important Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate showing that all of its numbers match and are original.

The car was subject to a bare metal respray in 1990 and then a full engine rebuild in 1999. It has had several modifications for driving in modern day conditions including:

1. A Harvey-Bailey suspension kit

2. A Jaguar XJS based power steering conversion

3. Four-pot front brake callipers and 1.75” callipers on the rear

4. Conversion to an alternator charging system

5. Halogen headlights

6. Lightened flywheel

7. 123 Electronic Ignition conversion with rolling road set up

8. Reclining seats and head restraints.

Being an early car, this vehicle retains many features only found on a 1959 model including recessed sun visors, 100 psi oil pressure gauge, pendulum type accelerator pedal and shallower dash top.
