Deze Spider S is een zeldzame vondst, slechts 2.047 'S'-modellen werden geproduceerd, voornamelijk voor de Italiaanse markt.

In Mei 1963 werd deze Innocenti nieuw geleverd in Italië en heeft tot 1989 in het zonnige klimaat rondgereden. Waarna de auto werd verkocht aan een Duitse liefhebber. Van 1990 t/m 1994 werd de auto grotendeels gerestaureerd. De basis voor de restauratie was erg goed, mede door het droge Italiaanse klimaat. In 1997 is er een artikel over deze specifieke Innocenti geschreven in het blad 'Motor Klassik'. Het tijdschrift is aanwezig in de uitgebreide map met historie. In 2021 heeft de huidige eigenaar de Innocenti weten te bemachtigen en heeft de auto technisch en optisch volledig aangepakt met als doel de 2023 European Healey meeting in Noorwegen. De motor is onder andere gereviseerd en licht getuned naar 70 PK. De originele cilinderinhoud van 1098cc is licht opgeboord naar 1150cc. Samen met andere nieuwe onderdelen & componenten zoals een scherpere nokkenas, nieuwe zuigers, kleppen, lagers, K&N luchtfilters en anderen, produceert de motor nu 70 PK.

Wat nog meer in de restauratie plaats heeft gevonden is bijvoorbeeld het verchromen, polijsten en restaureren van verschillende diverse chroom onderdelen, wat een totaalbedrag was van zo'n €2.900,-. Dit is 1 van vele facturen van deze restauratie. In totaal totaliseren deze bedragen op tot circa €20.000,-. Voor een meerprijs van €3.000, is een uiterst zeldzame witte hardtop beschikbaar. Deze is eveneens volledig gerestaureerd, en voorzien van nieuwe, correcte binnenkleding, dichtingen en hardware. Onder de auto zitten er nieuwe 13 inch Minator velgen met nieuwe banden.

Als het gaat om documentatie is er vele verschillende documentatie. Deze bestaan uit; diverse TUV rapporten, talloze facturen, Duitse registratiepapieren & eigenaren historie, Motor Klassik 1997 met artikel van de desbetreffende Innocenti Spider S, uitgebreide technische & historische informatie, handleidingen en een onderdelenhandboek.

Deze 1963 Innocenti Spider S is niet alleen een zeldzame vondst, maar ook een auto met een boeiende geschiedenis.

This Spider S is a rare find, only 2,047 'S' models were produced, mainly for the Italian market.

In May 1963, this Innocenti was delivered new in Italy and drove around in the sunny climate until 1989. After which the car was sold to a German enthusiast. From 1990 to 1994, the car was largely restored. The basis for the restoration was very good, partly due to the dry Italian climate. In 1997, an article about this particular Innocenti was written in the magazine 'Motor Klassik'. The magazine is present in the extensive history folder. In 2021, the current owner managed to get hold of the Innocenti and completely overhauled the car technically and optically with the aim of the 2023 European Healey meeting in Norway. Among other things, the engine was overhauled and lightly tuned to 70 HP. The original displacement of 1098cc has been slightly boosted to 1150cc. Together with other new parts & components such as a sharper camshaft, new pistons, valves, bearings, K&N air filters and others, the engine now produces 70 HP.

What else took place in the restoration is, for example, the chrome plating, polishing and restoration of various various chrome parts, which was a total amount of some €2,900. This is 1 of many invoices from this restoration. In total, these amounts add up to around €20,000. For an additional €3,000, an extremely rare white hardtop is available. This has also been fully restored, and fitted with new, correct interior trim, seals and hardware. Underneath the car there are new 13-inch Minator rims with new tyres.

These consist of; various TUV reports, numerous invoices, German registration papers & owners history, Motor Klassik 1997 with article of the Innocenti Spider S in question, extensive technical & historical information, manuals and a parts manual.
