The E-type has been an absolute beauty since its unveiling at the Geneva Salon in 1961. Even Enzo Ferrari called the E-type "the most beautiful car ever made". Technically, the E-type was way ahead of its time, the E-type had disc brakes all round and independent wheel suspension, the performance was also amazing: 0-100 km/h in 7 seconds and a top speed of 241 km/h. Unthinkable in the 60's.
Engine, gearbox and body are all matching numbers.
This E-type S1 was delivered new on September 3, 1962 to Lagerwij's, in The Hague.
Only 7,669 units of the Series I 3.8 Fixed head coupé were produced. Only a small part was delivered in the Netherlands.
This E-type is in a beautiful, well-driving and original condition.
Exterior, interior and technically in very good, original condition. The light patina gives the Jaguar some extra character. A beautiful, honest car.
In addition to the Heritage certificate, old registration certificate, FEHAC/FIVA ID card, a number of invoices are present with the car.
