1950 | Morris Minor MM Tourer

This exquisite, show standard Morris Minor Lowlight Tourer was built on the 6th-7th June 1950 in RHD for the Export market. Despatched on the 12th June and finished in Black with Beige interior, the Morris was then supplied through Nuffield Exports Ltd for a life in New South Wales, Australia. Having spent almost 50 years in Australia, the Morris arrived back in the U.K via container in the late 1990's and was then subject of a total rebuild by Ian Allen at Minor Services in Cambridgeshire. This highly regarded restorer carried out the work to an exceptional standard and there's no doubt this has to be one of the most impressive MM's we've ever seen. The rebuild was completed in 2001, all original equipment was rebuilt to include the 918cc engine and early gearbox, and all correct panels were used to ensure a top class finish. It was described on completion as comparable to the best in existence.


For over 20 years the Morris stayed with one owner before coming into the hands of our one of our long term clients in 2022 who has had the MM on display with a small collection of other pristine Morris Minors. The car today presents beautifully with a stunning, gleaming paint finish, excellent chrome and beautiful re-trimmed upholstery. The engine bay is show class, the underside as impressive as the top and the hood delightful. On the road the MM drives beautifully, it's a first class example and is worthy of winning shows. Finished in its correct specification, this is a true collectors piece.
