When Mercedes Benz introduced it in 1989, the new R129 Roadster had a difficult legacy, as it had to continue the success story of the r107, which had been built for 18 years. Our 500SL was first registered in Japan on May 3rd, 1991 and finally returned to Germany in February 2017.

The vehicle was technically and visually restored to its current perfect maintenance and care condition by the importing specialist workshop.

Its current owner purchased the SL in this condition and has logged a total of around 7,000 worry-free and enjoyable kilometers with it - and only in dry weather. The current mileage is 65,300km. The mileage can be traced back to 2012 (55,500km) using the Japanese export certificate. The condition of the car - inside and out - shows that it has been well cared for and cared for throughout its years.

The body impresses with its flawless flatness and perfect gaps. The paintwork is well cared for - it would also do honor to a "young star".
