After Lexus made a strong showing with the LS400 and BMW with the 750Li, Mercedes Benz decided to set a new benchmark in luxury and performance with the 600 SE V12. The Mercedes W140 series set new standards both technically and in terms of driving dynamics. As the advertising slogan promised back then: “The best or nothing.” The short version with the top engine was rarely ordered back then and is therefore rare and very sought after today.
