Description:
The first generation of the Chevrolet Corvette – internally designated as the C1 – was introduced in 1953, marking the beginning of America's most iconic sports car. With its fiberglass-reinforced body, chrome accents, and distinctive front grille, it set new design standards. The 150 hp inline-six engine delivered solid performance. Only 3,640 units were built in 1954, making this early model especially desirable. The C1 is not only a design icon but also a sought-after collector’s item with strong value appreciation.
About the car:
This 1954 Corvette C1 is in an exceptionally original and near-untouched condition. The factory paintwork has been preserved with a protective clear coat to maintain its integrity. According to documentation, the car remained with its first owner, a lady from Ohio, until 1993. It then spent over 10 years as a display piece in a German collection. Automotive journalist Frank Sander once described it aptly as: “A pretty sexy rear end, with details you won't find anywhere else today.” A true rarity in a tasteful color combination and in authentic “time warp” condition.
