This Porsche 911 3.0 RS IROC Evocation is built with an uncompromising approach and is finished in the iconic period colour scheme of Blood Orange with black interior.
The donor vehicle for this build was a superb 1990 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 4 C16 UK-supplied car. Widely regarded as one of the finest foundations for a backdate or Evocation, the 964 combines the unmistakable classic 911 silhouette with the usability and engineering advancements of the later air-cooled era. Due to the increasing values of 964 models, they are rarely chosen for projects of this calibre, making this example all the more special.
The car was comprehensively stripped and rebuilt to exacting RS IROC specification, complete with steel arches and extensive lightweight detailing throughout. The painstaking preparation process included over two weeks dedicated solely to the removal of factory sound deadening and adhesive materials.
The body is fitted with lightweight front and rear bumpers, a classic ducktail rear spoiler and a bespoke Custom Cages full roll cage, seamlessly integrated for both safety and authenticity. The factory air conditioning system and front oil coolers have been retained in their original positions, allowing for excellent usability and the potential for an enlarged front oil cooler setup if desired.
The interior perfectly captures the spirit of a genuine RS IROC competition car. Lightweight Perlon carpeting, bucket seats, lightweight door cards with pull straps and a racing Momo steering wheel all contribute to an immersive analogue driving experience.
Power comes from the renowned 3.6-litre air-cooled flat-six engine, rebuilt approximately 60,000 miles ago and meticulously maintained since.
