This spectacular Mulliner bodied Bentley Continental R has covered just 21000 miles from new and for most of its life it has been owned by a prominent collector and member of the Bentley Drivers Club and RREC. Whilst the Bentley had formed part of his collection and has covered ultra-low mileage, it has toured through Germany and Switzerland during its fifteen years with this one owner

The Bentley Continental R Mulliner comes with an exceptional history file that includes the original bill of sale from 16th June 2000. The Bentley was ordered from Jack Barclay Limited in Dark Cherry with Slate hide upholstery for a total price of £246,740.83. The Bentley was ordered with interior overmats, seat switch surround in hide, shaded sundym windscreen and painted radiator shell with brush stainless vanes. The car featured White Xenon headlamp bulbs, electric rear window blind, front and rear parking aid, veneer lid instead of ashtrays, outside temperature gauge, easy close boot lid, pan Europe tracking system, Black badges including wheel centres, coloured keyed cheetah panels, wrap over fully veneered waistrails and folding electric mirrors.

This car was supplied on the 27th September 2000 and its first service was with Jack Barclay Ltd at 855 miles. The Bentley Service Centre in Southwest London maintained the car at 1170 and 2572 miles and Michael Powles Limited Bentley serviced the car at 6079 miles. Bentley main agents JCT 600 in Leeds then began looking after the car, servicing and stamping the book at 6765, 10057, 10218, 12668, 13367, 15653 and 16912 miles. Recently at 17661 miles Bentley Manchester serviced the car and also carried out some work to the braking system - invoice total £6623.79. Accompanying the impressive service record are many service invoices, all original handbooks, wallet, original bill of sale and original brochure. The Bentley umbrellas are in place in the boot, and two sets of spare keys are also with the car.

We first welcomed W747 XGP into our showroom in 2021 and sold it at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Following a period of enjoyable motoring, we took the car back into stock as a part exchange before selling it onto one of our regular long-standing customers in 2024 who had kept the car at his Surrey home, using the car for special occasional weekend trips. The condition of the car is sensational, quite simply exceptional in every respect. The gorgeous Mulliner bodywork is first class, the Dark Cherry paintwork stunning and the Slate leather upholstery is beautiful, matched by equally as impressive woodwork.
