In 1998, the Volkswagen Group and BMW were locked in a fierce battle over the rights to Rolls-Royce and Bentley. When Volkswagen ultimately emerged victorious and finalized the acquisition, the board decided to postpone the introduction of the Azure’s successor.

This new Azure is based on the Arnage platform and equipped with the proven, further-developed 6.75-liter twin-turbo V8 Rolls-Royce/Bentley engine. As a result, this muscular gentleman reaches the Dutch speed limit in just 5.6 seconds. On a rendezvous to Italy – a journey for which this vehicle was clearly made – it effortlessly reaches a top speed of 270 km/h on the autostrada.

During a four-year production run, only 796 individuals were privileged to call themselves the proud first owners of this model. And ours? Delivered new in the Netherlands to a discerning owner who ticked every option box without hesitation.
