Descripción

This 1955 Austin Healey 100-4 Le Mans combines, drop dead gorgeous looks with real performance. Our Le Mans is not one of the first factory build “M models”. This stunning specimen is one of the just as rare Healy 100-4’s that received the full Le Mans conversion kit at that time. So do not be mistaken. This is a full blown Le Mans with all the bells and whistles that come with the name.

Our matching numbers Healey has been granted a place in the official Le Mans Registry and comes with a “British Motor Industry Trust” Heritage Certificate. (Certificate number 2022/1310) & has Mille Miglia eligibility. The conversion of our car was done in July 1955.
Approximately 640 “Le Mans” Conversion Kits were sold to Austin-Healey dealers or car owners for converting standard Austin Healey 100 sports cars to “Le Mans” specifications. The Le Mans conversion included equipping the car with a special aluminum head, larger carburetors, a cold air box, a high-performance camshaft, louvers on the hood, and a leather strap over the hood.

Additionally, this 1955 Austin Healey features an overdrive. The car currently sports and extremely attractive combination of an Ivory/black paint combination over a red interior and roof. Of course, the paint and all chrome trim are very presentable. The red leather interior shows no serious signs of wear, and all switches and dials are in full working order. The soft top and insert windows are brand new. Since the car has been very well maintained the performance the “Le Mans” modified 2660 CC 4-cylinder inline engine is a joy to experience. The original tool kit, spare tire and jack are present.
This timeless classic comes with a very comprehensive owner and service history. Including a certified copy of the Heritage records & a very rarely seen owner’s manual personally signed by Donald Healy.

In short, this 1955 Austin Healey “Le Mans” is not just a car, it’s a timeless masterpiece that captures the essence of the golden age of motorsports. Owning this true icon of British style and engineering is a dream come true for any classic car enthusiast.
