    Ducati 851 Tricolore

This 1988 Ducati 851 Strada is one of 304 examples produced during the models

first year, all of which were finished in a white, red, and green Tricolore livery over a

silver-finished steel trellis frame. Powered by a liquid-cooled 851cc Desmoquattro

L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission, the fully faired bike features a clear

windscreen, clip-on handlebars, rear-set foot controls, triple Brembo disc brakes, 16

Marvic magnesium wheels, and adjustable Marzocchi suspension as well as a

desmodromic valvetrain, electronic fuel injection, dual 50mm throttle bodies, an

electronic ignition module, an electric starter, and a two-into-two exhaust system with

    reverse-cone megaphone mufflers.

The bike was acquired by the last owner in January 2024. At that time a pre-sale service was carried out. This included replacing the timing-belts, engine control unit, battery and oil. The valves were also checked.

This 8The fully faired bodywork is adorned with the white, red, and green colors of

the Italian national flag. Features include a silver-finished steel trellis frame, a clear

windscreen, a rectangular headlight, integrated turn signal/mirror pods, a 5.3-gallon

fuel tank, a flush-mount fuel filler, a side stand, and a black racing-style seat with a

rear bumper pad. 51 Tricolore is now offered in the Netherlands with Dutch

    registration.

Marvic 16 magnesium alloy wheels are finished in gold and mounted with older

Michelin Hi-Sport tires. Adjustable suspension consists of a 42mm Marzocchi M1R

inverted fork with anti-dive control as well as a Marzocchi Supermono shock

mounted to the swingarm. Braking is handled by four-piston Brembo calipers over

dual 280mm drilled discs up front and a two-piston Brembo caliper over a single

260mm drilled disc at the rear.

Clip-on handlebars secured beneath the top triple clamp front white-dial Veglia

Borletti instrumentation consisting of a 270-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a

10k-rpm redline, and a coolant-temperature gauge. The five-digit odometer shows

    4,300 kilometers (~2,700 miles).

The liquid-cooled 851cc DOHC L-twin was factory rated at 102 horsepower and

features four desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, Weber electronic fuel

injection, and dual 50mm throttle bodies along with an electronic ignition module,an

electric starter, and a two-into-two exhaust system with black-finished reverse-cone

    megaphone mufflers.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a hydraulically actuated multi-plate dry

clutch, a six-speed gearbox, and a drive chain.
