From Formula 1 to the Lunar Rover, from land speed record cars to arctic all-terrain vehicles, Venturi have supplied cutting-edge engineering for almost all motoring aspects around the globe. Based in Monaco and founded in 1984, building exotic road cars starting with the MSV 160, production continued with these mid-engined performance coupes fully equipped with either turbo or supercharged engines. Indeed, the Venturi 400GT remains one of the highest-performing French cars ever produced with a top speed of 171mph.

Although a limited numbered run of the 200 series arrived on British shores, the Venturi name is firmly stamped upon the French subconscious. The design is of classic proportions with attention paid to shut lines, build quality, interior trim and performance. With fully adjustable electric seats, a full leather interior and walnut dashboard, the interior is a very special place to be. This lefthand drive Venturi has covered very limited mileage from new and presents in good order throughout. The chassis and bodywork are also in good condition with the paintwork appearing to be original with light age-related marks on the extremities. Re-commissioned recently, it is fresh from a long stay in a temperature-controlled museum based in Kuwait. Fitted with high-performance all-season Blackhawk tyres 225/55ZR16 and classic five-spoke Venturi wheels, it was purchased new by the vendor from the main agent over there. With an MoT test passed in May of this year, with no advisories, we are advised that it runs well with the 2458cc, (2.5 litre) V6, supercharged engine ticking over evenly and certainly performs well. This stylish coupe, with its sumptuous leather interior, is an opportunity to acquire a tangible and very useable asset that is sure to continue to appreciate in value.
