Description

Triumph GT6 Mk 3, built in 1972.

Exterior colour red combined with a beige leather interior and black carpet.

The Triumph GT6 is a beautifully lined coupé based on the Triumph Spitfire. Both models were designed by the famous Italian designer Michelotti.

The Spitfire Mk 3 is equipped with a 75 hp 1.3 four-cylinder engine, the GT6 is equipped with a powerful and great sounding 2-Litre six-cylinder in-line engine that delivers no less than 105 hp!

This Triumph GT6 has been cherished by the last owner for over 30 years, the maintenance history has been kept for the last twenty years.

Almost everything on this beautiful Triumph GT6 has been taken care of, improved, restored, overhauled and/or renewed in recent years. The engine has been overhauled and is fitted with a stainless-steel manifold and exhaust system.

The bonnet is equipped with two gas springs instead of the old-fashioned and awkward bar to keep the large bonnet up.

This great Triumph GT6 is equipped with overdrive and shows all the original details. Upgrades are in the form of a MotoLita sports steering wheel with wooden rim, leather seat upholstery, K&N sports air filters, special halogen headlights and a Retro Sound MP3/Bluetooth radio. The Triumph GT6 is quite rare, only 13,042 examples were built.

The Triumph GT6 bears a great resemblance to the most beautiful car ever according to many; the exclusive Jaguar E-type coupé. In the 1960s and 1970s, the compact GT6 was also called the “Poor man's E-type”. That can only be seen as a big compliment because the E-type cost twice as much to buy and many times as much to maintain!
