A wonderfully driving Jaguar Mk2 with the powerful 3.8 liter six-cylinder in a neat condition: that is, in short, this warm red English sedan. We may not have to explain anything about the Mk2 in general, but we would like to tell you in a nutshell why many classic enthusiasts have something for this stylish sportsman.

With an output of 220 hp, the Jaguar Mk2 3.8 is one of the most sporty and fast sedans for sale in the 1960s. Partly for this reason, the English police often drove Jaguars at that time, but the thieves guild there also often decided to 'borrow' an Mk2 to be able to properly practice their profession. With this warm red Jaguar Mk2 you can spontaneously imagine yourself as TV hero Inspector Morse who drove an identical car in the series of the same name.

The Mk2 we offer here is the very popular version with a 3.8 liter six-cylinder. In this case, the engine is linked to an automatic gearbox, so that sportiness and comfort go hand in hand. The top speed of this model is over 200 km/h and from standstill you can reach 96 km/h (60 miles per hour) in a still respectable 8.5 seconds. The 3.8 six-in-line certainly lives up to the expectations associated with 220 hp in such a car. A powerful six-cylinder with plenty of torque that accelerates effortlessly to high speeds. The gearbox shifts smoothly from gear to gear.

The Mark II was introduced in 1959 and this one is from 1962, so it is an early variant. The car was brought to the Netherlands in 1995, where the car has been maintained and maintained over the years.
The bodywork is still neat with a small trace of use here and there. Nothing striking and the paintwork is neat, but you can see that this is not a recently restored car. The paintwork is in a neat condition, chrome, rubbers and details all look fine and the fits of the sheet metal are fairly neat. The pleasantly heavy doors fall easily into the lock, the rubbers are showing signs of dryness. Even today, a Mk II still feels luxurious and solid, a car 'at level'.

The interior exudes the atmosphere of the 1960s. Beautifully patinated leather ensures. At most, the seats show that the car has been enjoyed, something that can be seen as a plus with leather, which often becomes more beautiful with use. The instruments all function properly and look beautiful. All controls also function as you would expect.

We can be simple about this Mk II: a very pleasant car that looks neat and is technically in order. Inspector Morse would know...
