FEATURES
- This 1960 Jaguar Mk IX Saloon is from California and has been in storage for 19 years.

- The engine and Borg-Warner automatic transmission have been professionally rebuilt.
- The paintwork was renewed over 40 years ago and still shines.
- The body is rust-free and, to the seller's knowledge, undamaged.

- The burlwood dashboard and door panels are complete but show some cracks and chips.
- The rear seats and door panels are in like-new condition and feature burlwood folding picnic tables.
- The factory-installed four-wheel disc brakes are present.
NEEDS
- The speedometer cable drive is defective.
- The front carpet of the Mk IX needs to be replaced.
- The wooden dashboard and window sills could be refinished.
- New windshield and rear window seals (included) improve the appearance.
- Three to four small hairline cracks are visible in the paint.
This rare 1960 Jaguar Mk IX Saloon is a highly original example with an older repaint that remains in excellent condition, an original interior, and a comprehensive, recent mechanical overhaul, including a complete engine and gearbox rebuild. Jaguar Mk IX Saloons were highly regarded for their style, luxurious fittings, and high performance, thanks to Jaguar's famous, race-proven XK DOHC straight-six engine. Just over 10,000 Mk IXs were produced between 1959 and 1961; how many have survived is unknown. These examples remain highly sought after by Jaguar enthusiasts.
