Few cars capture the spirit of American muscle quite like the 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback. With its aggressive lines, unmistakable fastback silhouette, and the sound of a proper V8 under the hood, it’s no wonder these cars have earned legendary status around the world. The 289-cubic-inch V8 was a sweet spot in the lineup – plenty of punch, without being over the top. This particular Fastback, finished in its original and iconic Candy Apple Red (Code T) with white racing stripes, has been in Sweden since 2009. It presents very well throughout and is ready to drive and enjoy straight away.

Exterior: The car looks fantastic in the sunlight, with its paintwork professionally refinished as part of a previous restoration. The colour combo really brings out the best of the Fastback’s curves and aggressive stance. The body panels line up nicely, and the car sits just right on a set of period-style 5-spoke aluminum wheels that give it a slightly more modern edge while keeping the vintage feel. Chrome trim and detailing are in good condition, and underneath, the chassis is solid and tidy.

Interior: Inside, you’ll find the original-style red vinyl interior (Code 2D), complete with refreshed upholstery, new carpets, and a clean headliner. The dashboard retains its factory layout, with all gauges and the radio working as they should. It’s a great place to be, clean, classic, and comfortable.

Engine & Mechanics: Under the hood is the classic 289ci (4.7L) V8, a smooth and strong runner with a lovely burble. It’s fitted with a number of newer components including the carburetor, ignition parts, air filter, valve covers, belts, and exhaust. The automatic gearbox shifts cleanly and is paired with well-chosen gear ratios – just when you think it's out of breath, another gear slots in, letting you cruise comfortably at higher speeds with the engine ticking over at low RPM. It makes for a surprisingly relaxed long-distance cruiser.

The car is also equipped with power steering, which makes low-speed maneuvers and city driving easy and effortless. All the key mechanicals – steering, suspension, brakes – feel solid and responsive. It’s a car that’s genuinely enjoyable to drive, whether you're pushing on a bit or just taking it easy.

History & Documentation: Originally imported from the US, the car has had five Swedish owners since arriving in 2009. The current owner has looked after it well, attending shows and keeping it serviced and maintained. The odometer reads 60,033 miles, and it comes with correct door tag codes confirming it as a real Candy Apple Red Fastback with bucket seats and the standard red interior.
