Description

This gorgeous Ford Mustang Coupé V8 from 1965 is completely restored and upgraded with many competition parts to achieve its actual fast road specification. The body is finished in the famous Shelby American colour combination of Wimbledon white with blue twin striping , and is in perfect condition. This car oozes speed, and sits on famous American Racing wheels fitted with Dunlop SP Classic tyres. Under the bonnet sits an impressive and upgraded 302ci V8 engine, dynoed at 325 bhp and 430 Nm. The gearbox is a 4-speed toploader. Furthermore, this Mustang has an LSD and an extra-long final drive which allows almost 100 kph in first gear ! Inside, the car has BF Torino Rally ST bucket seats, a roll cage with QSP harnesses and a lovely Hurst shifter. The dashboard has improved gauges which are ideally for rallywork. The brakes are upgraded Wilwood items which are a serious improvement over the original brake set-up. Most of these preparations are done by Dutch classic car specialist ACS Engineering, who also frequently serviced the Mustang.

Driving this fast machine is a bit of an experience. The big V8 engine produces a thundering sound, and as there is plenty of torque the long gear ratios are a perfect choice. This is the kind of car which could be used for historic rallying or trackdays, but is also suitable for road use. It's the perfect blend of classic motoring and the feeling of driving a proper racecar. This Mustang deserves the name 'muscle car' for 100% !

Building a car to this specification and condition will cost much more then the asking price, and then you still need to find a decent 1965 Mustang at a reasonable price. This Mustang offers you an unforgettable driving experience : it looks stunning, it sounds great and it drives as sensational as you may expect. Probably one of the most exciting Mustangs on the market today.
