The first-generation Ford Mustang is a true icon. Few cars capture the imagination as much as Ford's muscle car. It appeals not only to American car enthusiasts but generally to classic car enthusiasts across the board.

The Mustang debuted in 1965, and barely two years later, this 1967 model arrived at the Jacksonville dealership in order to be handed over to its first owner. The stunning lines, the revered 289 cubic inches engine, and the beautiful colour combination make this specimen a bullseye for Mustang aficionados. White is not a commonly seen colour for a Mustang, and when combined with the blue-green interior, it's a combination to get excited about.

To begin with, let's describe the exterior of the Mustang, which was originally delivered in Arcadian Blue but was later resprayed in fresh white. It suits the Ford very well and complements the original interior excellently. The body is neat, and all associated elements, such as the chrome bumpers, lighting components, and other shiny parts, are in excellent condition. The hinged parts close easily, and fits are tidy. The paintwork was carried out reasonably well.

The interior of this coupe is lovely. The upholstery, carpeting, door panels, and dashboard are all in a tidy, original-looking condition. The colours make it a typical American celebration, where all functional components actually do what they're supposed to do. In the center, you'll find the gear lever of the automatic transmission, which operates the 200 cubic inch six-cylinder engine. It's not the most powerful engine available in the Mustang, of course, but it's a very pleasant, torquey six-cylinder that is also reliable and relatively fuel-efficient. It also sounds quite good.

More important than the power is the enormous amount of character that a Mustang carries. Driving, steering, and accelerating: it's all a great pleasure with the Ford, partly due to its well-tuned suspension and pleasant steering characteristics. When you press the large left pedal, you'll find that the braking capacity is also more than adequate.

A top-notch car that will provide loads of fun, both while looking at it and certainly also while driving it.
