The Ford Capri 2.8 Injection was launched in 1981, and is the quintessential attainable sports coupe for the masses in the 1980's. This truly remarkable Ford Capri 2.8 Injection has just one previous owner and a staggering 2,402 miles from new. Presented in silver with the original decals and original, unmarked, Recaro seats, this example is offered in true time warp condition which can be seen in the photos. Upon inspection, the car benefits from the original paint marks on the suspension underneath and nearly 40 years later the interior is still factory fresh. Our vendor purchased the car from the original owner in 2016, and it has formed part of a small personal collection since. Run regularly but only brought out once a year for its MoT test, it's now time to let the car go as the vendor is downsizing their collection.

The original lady owner purchased D751 KVG, brand new, as a birthday present to herself in April 1987 for which she traded in her Ford Cortina. However, the Capri didn't get driven a lot since her partner at the time didn't like the way she drove it. This caused 'numerous arguments' between them as stated in her letter of provenance warranting the mileage she had covered in the Capri. She then got speaking to a gentleman who began maintaining the car every year including doing the MoT test certificates and servicing, this then led to them getting married. When the time came that he could no longer look after the car, they decided to sell the Capri which is when, in 2016, the current vendor purchased it.

Boasting an extensive history folder showing many old MoT test certificates, services, old tax discs, original purchase invoice, original book pack and even Ford dealer duster and factory supplied bolster supports, this is a truly one-off collectable example. An unrepeatable opportunity for a completely original and untouched Ford Capri 2.8 in remarkable condition which must be seen to be appreciated. Viewing is highly recommended.
