Classic beauty, that's what comes to mind when we see a Ferrari Dino. This red 246 GT is in fantastic condition, we are proud to be able to offer this beautiful Dino.
The Dino 246 GT was a driving tribute to Enzo Ferrari's son, Alfredo 'Dino' Ferrari. Dino Ferrari, an engineer, had proposed a smaller engine range in the 1950s, but due to his untimely death in 1956 he never saw his dream come true.
Ultimately, Enzo adopted the 'sub-brand' Dino to serve as a brand that could compete with cars like the Porsche 911. With its mid-mounted V6 allowing for ideal weight distribution and a more streamlined nose, the Dino became a real sports car that was more than worthy of the name Ferrari.
By the way, that V6 is a beauty of an engine. 2,419 cc in size, with four overhead camshafts, three Weber 40DCNF/6 carburettors, five-speed manual transmission, independent suspension at all four wheels and disc brakes all around. Nowadays 195 hp may sound at most 'sporty', but at the time it was a very respectable power for a sports car. The fastest regular Porsche, the 911S, had a power that fluctuated between 160 and 190 hp in those years. Other variants of the 911 were (far) below this.
Initially the Dino had a 2.0 liter six-cylinder, but in 1969 this was enlarged to the aforementioned 2,419 cc variant, as in this Dino. The Fiat-built power unit, with the cylinder banks at an angle of 65 degrees, has a cast iron block with alloy heads and was enough to catapult the Leonardo Fioravanti-designed 246 GT to great sales success. Although this was not only due to the engine, the very direct and well-communicating steering also played a role.
The Dino 246 GT that you see here was built in 1971. It is a second series of the 246, where a number of upgrades compared to early examples speak in its favor. This Dino has been fantastically maintained and the technology has already been completely overhauled in a professional manner. Major maintenance was recently carried out just a few kilometers ago, which means the Dino is in excellent technical condition.
This is no different visually, with a clean body with beautiful paint and literally and figuratively shiny chrome. The car stands on the original and correct 14" Cromodora wheels. The interior is also beautiful and features black leather upholstery on the seats and light gray upholstery on the dashboard, headliner and carpets. The interior is further characterized by a beautiful three-spoke steering wheel, Becker Europa radio and of course the beautiful Veglia meters.

It is clear from the documentation that the car has been well cared after, the car has always been maintained by the correct marque specialist, and in 2014 the engine was completely overhauled, this was also done by a very well-known Ferrari specialist.

The two-seater comes with booklets, the necessary documentation and a stack of maintenance invoices. A beautiful Dino that will give you many enjoyable rides.
