Description

Description Arrived in France in October 2012, this magnificent CHEVROLET CORVETTE C2 Sting Ray cabriolet was carefully monitored by the family, owners of this car. The engine which is the 327ci of 250 HP (31 taxable HP, displacement of 5351 cm3) was rebuilt in 2013: rectification of the block, the crankshaft, new pistons, new bearings, new water pump, everything is new and the latter has only covered 3,000 miles since. The gearbox is a 4-speed manual and poses no problem in its operation. This is the original box, the car is Matching Numbers. The car is from a private collection. The exhaust line was changed and in 2022, major costs were carried out such as a change of the carburettor, repair of the electrical system, change of shock absorbers, repair of the wheel butterflies, new battery, ignition and braking control . The CORVETTE is ready for sale and comes in a very nice Silver Gray livery with a black interior. The paintwork is magnificent, on a body that does not show any misalignment; the painting was done at the ODS establishments in 2015. The doors open and close smoothly, the front bonnet is well aligned; we will just note a small paint reaction at the level of the AVD headlight. The wheels are consistent with the model of the time and the butterflies are new. The car's chrome is in excellent condition and the bumper alignments show no irregularities. The black leather upholstery is perfect as well as the door panels and the dashboard. All the instruments are operational and even the original station. The carpets are in excellent condition, this car has been very well maintained. The hood is new, black in Alpaca and fits very well in its housing. The handling of the trunk lid to store the soft top works very well, no resistance and the interior upholstery is almost new, which will help Madame to store her belongings.

The engine compartment and the underbody of the car are in very good condition and show no corrosion. The car is straight on its running gear and shows no signs of faulty or sagging suspensions. A lot of fresh work was done on this 1964 Sting Ray convertible. The 1964 Sting Ray accounted for a total of 22,229 units, which set another Corvette sales record. Of the units sold, only 8,304 coupes were made. The remaining 13,925 convertibles proved once again that the Corvette Roadster was still a Corvette consumer favorite. The car is Matching Numbers (engine, gearbox, color) and comes for sale in exceptional condition. It is registered in collection gray card.

Our opinion

A very desirable Corvette that comes with a 250 HP V8 engine that will delight model enthusiasts who want to drive with a less gluttonous engine!
