The automobile was perfectly restored and overhauled by a renowned Dutch Triumph TR3 specialist (Hans Kooij) over twenty years ago.

The Triumph TR3 series was very successful in 1950s and 1960s rally and racing competitions, including successes in the Monte Carlo Rally, Tulip Rallye and the infamous Liège–Rome–Liège.
