1000 Miglia eligible, Restauration in 2017-2018, Recent work done
This fabulous Triumph TR 3 ‘small mouth’ (early model with the small grille) was first registered on 30 January 1957. On 11 July 2003 the car found a new owner in Luxembourg, and in 2025 the car was added to the sales collection of S2 Classic Cars.
This wonderful Triumph TR3 was very well cared for over the years. The odometer shows 92155 miles. The car has a racy look and a fantastic colour, and the car is fitted with overdrive. In July 2017 the body was restored and repainted (photos present). After the bodywork was completed, the interior was given new upholstery in 2018. The engine and the gearbox were also overhauled in this period (photos present).
Recently (August 2025) the car was brought fully up to date in the S2 Classic Cars workshop. The following works were done: Full technical inspection, brake overhaul including two new Alfin drums, carburettors cleaned, components bead‑blasted, overhauled and adjusted, fuel hoses renewed, wheel bearings greased and adjusted, valves adjusted, rear axle leak repaired, inlet manifold cleaned, new gasket fitted, studs replaced. A larger cooling fan was fitted, overdrive switch and wiring repaired, V‑belt renewed, contact point renewed and ignition adjusted, air filters cleaned, cooling system flushed and filled, and of course all fluids renewed and topped up.
The Triumph TR3 has a glorious 1950s racing, rallying competition background. A rugged and sporty British roadster that brings you back in time and offers a lot of driving fun. This fantastic Triumph TR 3 is 1000 Miglia eligible which means that a new owner can subscribe for participation in this legendary regularity event! A fantastic TR3 ‘small mouth’ in excellent condition!
